Our Large Machining division boasts one of the most comprehensive heavy machining line up in the UK.
Our cutting-edge equipment includes three Correa Axia machines capable of handling parts up to 12.5m x 1.5m x 3m, and an Asquith Butler machining cell with a capacity of up to 8m x 1.5m x 2m.
We also have large capacity lathes, with max CNC Turning capability of up to 3.8m in length and 950mm diameter.
On the back of a growing order book, we have recently invested £10 million to build a new 60,000 sq ft Heavy Machining and Nuclear Fabrication facility located on Walker Park, Blackburn, adjacent to our existing WEC Machining facility.
The construction of the new site is well underway and as part of this investment we have committed to acquire six further large CNC machining centres, capable of handling components of up to 20 meters in length and 5 meters in diameter. The new factory is set to become the largest subcontract heavy machining and nuclear fabrication facility in Europe.
