Es de hace un par de semanas pero he encontrado este artículo sobre la situación de las refinerías en Europa, habla entre muchas otras sobre ESSO (que sigue en caída libre)

In other news, ExxonMobil’s French downstream subsidiary Esso SAF said Sept. 10 that its French refineries — Port Jerome-Gravenchon and Fos-sur-Mer — processed 7.3 million mt of crude in the first half of 2020, 3.9% down on the year. The refineries ensured “continuity of their operations during the pandemic crisis by adapting” the operation of their units to the changes of demand. The company said previously that the two refineries reduced throughput due to decreasing demand. Esso reported an adjusted loss of Eur107 million ($126.7 million), primarily due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on demand which led to overcapacity of production and weighed on refining margins. Domestic sales of the group were 12% down, versus an overall contraction of the domestic market of 16% according to data by the Professional oil committee, it said. The “very gradual” recovery of consumption suggests that “demand will not return to the pre-crisis levels in the near future,” Esso said. “This situation emphasizes the imbalance between the demand for oil products and production capacities in Europe,” the company said.
